Cavani refuses to go to Juventus out of respect for Naples

Edinson Cavani's future remains unsolved. The Uruguayan striker remains without a team after leaving PSG and seeing his incorporation to Benfica frustrated, although there are no shortage of candidates.

Juventus is the last club to present an offer to the Uruguayan to be part of Andrea Pirlo's new project in the ‘bianconero’ team. The striker has ample experience in the Italian championship, as he scored 104 goals in 138 games during his time with Naples, even going so far as to win an Italian Cup.

However, as Sky Sports Italia assures, it is his past as an ‘azzurri’ that now prevents him from signing for Juve, a staunch rival of Napoli. His loyalty to the former club has made him reject the “bianconera” proposal, so his future will not be in the Turin club.

Recently, the high economic pretensions of Cavani prevented him from reaching an agreement with Benfica, so he must now continue looking for a team to join.
