Cadista Jorge Meré breaks his cruciate in training

MADRID, 24 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cádiz CF defender Jorge Meré has a torn cruciate ligament according to the tests he underwent this Wednesday, after the injury he suffered in training on Monday.

“The medical team has carried out complementary tests that have diagnosed the rupture of the cruciate ligament. The injury will force him to undergo surgery and be out for the rest of the season,” says the Andalusian club in a statement on its official website.

The Asturian player suffered a knee twist in training on Monday, with poor support that was initially evaluated as a sprain. However, this Wednesday a serious injury was confirmed for Meré who, on loan from América de México, has not had many minutes this season.
