Benzema and Carvajal do not train one day from Alavés

Karim Benzema will be out again for the game against Alavés. The French striker did not exercise with the rest of his teammates in the last training session before taking on Alavés (Saturday 28, 9:00 pm). It will be the third consecutive game that he has lost due to injury, after not playing against Villarreal or Inter Milan. Yes, he was training alone, both with physical exercises and touching the ball. Zidane prefers to go slowly with the players touched or who are coming out of injury.

Benzema left the last game before the national team break, on November 8, against Valencia at the Mestalla (4-1 loss), with muscle discomfort in the left adductor muscle. He underwent tests to see the extent of the injury, but Madrid has not issued any statement.

Another of the players who did not train with his teammates was Dani Carvajal. The winger who had recovered from a sprained injury to the internal lateral ligament of his left knee, had returned with good feelings against Villarreal and Inter, but he was not with his companions. It came out in the final stretch of the session.

Like Karim, neither will Ramos, who continues to evolve from his injury to the biceps femoris in his right leg, nor Luka Jovic, to which he is expected to return next week after testing positive for COVID-19. Odriozola and Valverde also continue with their recovery processes.

Zidane does recover Militao, who has overcome COVID-19, who has trained these last two days. The Brazilian could enter the squad, but Nacho's latest performances, against Villarreal, and especially against Inter Milan (he annulled Lukaku and took advantage of his offensive side by causing a penalty), suggest that he will act again in the left side forming a couple with Varane.
