Ansu Fati and Bryan Zaragoza, with Spain due to Yeremy Pino’s injury

MADRID, 9 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The national soccer coach, Luis de la Fuente, called up Ansu Fati and Bryan Zaragoza this Sunday to replace Yeremy Pino, who was injured with Villarreal against UD Las Palmas, ahead of the matches against Scotland and Norway.

“Luis de la Fuente has called up Ansu Fati from Brighton & Hove Albion and Bryan Zaragoza from Granada CF to replace Yeremy Pino ahead of the clashes that the Spanish team must face this week against Scotland and Norway in the qualifying phase for Euro 2024,” reported the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) after midnight.

Pino’s injury in La Cerámica changed the plans of De la Fuente who decided to call two players to replace the Canarian, facing a list in which Lamine Yamal could also be in doubt due to some discomfort in the match against Granada this Sunday for which he requested the change.

In the Nuevo Los Cármenes, Bryan Zaragoza, the author of two great goals in the 2-2 against Barça, shone. The young Yamal for his part became the youngest scorer in the history of the League. For Zaragoza it is his first call-up with Spain.

Both he and Ansu Fati who is trying to succeed in the Premier are called to the Spanish concentration that begins this Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas (Madrid). The first training session will take place at 7:30 p.m. and will be open to the public until capacity is reached.
