1-1. Celta closes preseason with many doubts and a draw against Sporting

Celta de Vigo closed their summer preseason matches with a draw against Sporting (1-1), in another meeting in which exhibited serious defensive imbalances at one week to open the league course against Eibar.

Waiting for the arrival of the reinforcements requested by Óscar García Junyent, Celta signed another disappointing performance, with the only good news from return of Denis Suárez, after overcoming the injury to the left femoral biceps that he suffered at the end of June, and the scoring sense of Iago Aspas.

The midfielder hardly accused the inactivity and connected well with the attackers, in addition to threatening twice Diego Marino with a free-kick (min.46) and a shot from the front (min.58).

Celta is still a team as creative in attack as fragile in defense. Oscar Garcia He will have to make many adjustments in this last week of preseason if he does not want scares during LaLiga.

Sporting brought out lin the absence of coordination between Aidoo and Fontán in each of his attack actions, as well as the lack of forcefulness of Juncá in the left side. In one of those defensive imbalances, Alvaro Vazquez hit within two minutes of play.

Celta pressed well, generated danger -Baeza forced Mariño to show off after a quarter of an hour- but his multiple mistakes in the back overshadowed everything. And that Aspas equalized at 18 minutes after a good recovery from Hugo Mallo in the core that left it only in hand to hand when staying Babin protesting a possible lack of the celestial captain.

In the second part the rhythm of the crash decreased. Celta dominated more but only threatened with distant shots, a foul executed by Denis Suárez (min.46) and a shot by Renato Tapia (min.89); Sporting brushed victory with a direct free from Djuka (min.73) that Iván Villar almost ate.

Yet another argument for your coach to insist on the arrival of a new goalkeeper to cover the losses of Rubén Blanco and Sergio Álvarez.
