Yago Rojo and Laura Luengo sponsor Santa Claus's Race this Sunday

The athletes Yago Rojo and Laura Luengo, who have received the gold Santa Claus and Mother Christmas, sponsor the twelfth edition of the El Corte Inglés Santa Claus Race, which takes place this Sunday (10:30 a.m.) over nearly 5 kilometers through the center of Madrid, with start and finish at Paseo de Recoletos.

The delivery of numbers, chips and Santa Claus suits will take place at El Corte Inglés de Princesa until this Saturday at 10 p.m. The general director of Sports of the Community of Madrid, Alberto Tomé, presented the Golden Father Christmas 2023 and the Golden Mother Christmas to Rojo and Luengo.

Laura Luengo achieved the best Spanish mark in history for a marathon debutant during the last Valencia Marathon. For his part, Yago Rojo achieved a record of 2 hours and 7 minutes also in the capital of Turia, and achieved the Olympic minimum.

The list of historical winners of the Santa Claus Race includes notable names such as Fermín Cacho, Jesús España, Alessandra Aguilar, Javi Guerra, Joana Pastrana, Juan Carlos Higuero (Santa Claus 2022) and Adiaratou Iglesias (Mamá Noel 2022).
