In the documentary My world is anotherfrom Atresmedia, discussed this event, which Alejandro will comment on this Friday, December 29, on Telecinco.

“That man hated me.” […] From my point of view he was a psychopath. […] One day he came and slashed my face. I went crazy when I looked in the mirror and saw my face cracked. I went to the bedroom, where there was a gun, and I shouted for him. I marked him with the pistol. He threw himself at the door, on the floor. I told her 'I'm not going to kill you because I'm not a murderer' and I shot the other way. From then on he didn't hit me anymore, but then came the psychological abuse,” the artist told the camera.

After 22 years together, Jiménez decided to slam the door and break off the relationship. “Love passed away from me through beatings, slaps and punches in the face”he even related, because even on the same day of their wedding in Triana, June 1, 1980, the breakup was already considered.

“The one that formed me from the Venta Antequera [el lugar donde se celebró el convite del enlace] Even my house on Betis Street was not normal. It was from a madman. It is known that this man was very jealous. He would get jealous at someone's wedding and formed the world. I told him at the door 'you don't come into my house, you go wherever you want, but I will separate from you tomorrow morning.' That man started crying like a Magdalene… I felt guilty. Guilty, gentlemen. “That's how the 22 years I was with him were,” Jiménez noted in the documentary. Author of It's Over, her best-known song and an anthem against sexist violence, she broke up definitively with Pepe Sancho in 2002.

Now, his son, who has always stayed on the sidelines, will break his silence to look back. Alejandro saw with his own eyes some of the tragedies his mother faced. He was even the one who discovered the actor's infidelities.

Alejandro's role in his parents' hell

Alejandro discovered his father being unfaithful and, after telling the singer, she knew it was time to close the door on him. In his autobiography, titled Shut up you scoundrel, Jiménez explains how his son made him aware of this betrayal. The young man entered his room without warning and, to his surprise, found him there with another woman. “I could no longer invent anything to continue deceiving me and I decided to end it all. It was necessary that we separate, because I knew that I would not be able to forget such a dirty trick, that I would never be able to trust that person again: if he had deceived me for a year , could have been doing it all his life. I never imagined life without Pepe, but I also didn't think I could fall so low; in my own house, in my bed and between my sheets”Jiménez said.

Likewise, Alejandro never felt comfortable. Although he was on his mother's side, it was sometimes difficult for him to confront Sancho. In one of the few interviews he gave, he said he felt pressured by both of them. The artist said that her ex-husband took her son one day “and, with the excuse that his grandmother was very sick, he took him to a notary in Valencia so that he would take his side. He told him that if he didn't, I would put him in jail. My son signed, but he called me crying. I told him not to worry, that we would go to another notary and revoke it. Then he stopped talking to his son. He never saw him again.” And he added: “During this time I have suffered for him, I know what it is like to be between a rock and a hard place.”

“I have a trauma”

His mother was aware of the situation her son was going through: “I have lived like this for years, flying like a feather from one place to another, between the child and the father without knowing what to do. Alejandro is the best thing that has happened to me.” in life; he is noble, humble, loving and sensitive. When I see him laugh with his transparent and clean laugh, I feel compensated for everything,” said Jiménez. In 2009, the judge ruled that There was no “sufficient evidence” to demonstrate “the facts reported” by the artist.. However, he acknowledged that she had been a battered woman during her marriage.

After so many traumatic episodes, Alejandro never reconciled with his father. In fact, she found out about the actor's death on television. “I would like to go and have him explain to me why he did that at that time. Sometimes I have dreams in which I talk to him and he comes in peace, like he hasn't died. I have a trauma,” he explained to the press. The following years would be calmer for both him and his mother, whom he cared for in her house in Chiclana de la Frontera, in Cádiz. The singer died from lung cancer on September 7, at the Quirón Infanta Luisa hospital in Seville.
