Watford-Chelsea is interrupted by an incident with a spectator

The game between Watford and Chelsea was stopped in the 13th minute of the game due to a medical incident in the Graham Taylor stands at the Vicarage Road stadium.

A fan required medical assistance and the referee decided to suspend the duel momentarily so that the assistance could attend to the supporter in the fastest and most efficient way.

“There is a pause in the game due to a medical emergency in the fans. Both teams have left the field,” reported the Premier League.

This is not the first time something like this has happened in the English league. This season, the clash between Newcastle and Tottenham was interrupted in order to attend to a supporter who had a heart attack.

The Premier communicated minutes after the fan was stabilized and was on his way to the hospital. The news provoked applause from those present on Vicarage Road, who until now had maintained a commendable attitude of total respect towards the affected person.

Finally, half an hour after what happened, the game resumed where it had stopped.
