MADRID, 30 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia BC and Casademont Zaragoza will meet on Saturday in the first semifinal of the Copa de la Reina, which began this Thursday at the Príncipe Felipe de Zaragoza pavilion, after beating Movistar Estudiantes (69-56) and Kutxabank in the quarterfinals Araski (71-50).

The ‘taronja’ team had more resources, with a great performance also from Raquel Carrera and Leti Romero, and hit with strong sets back on the field in the third and last quarter. The Valencian defense dried up ‘Estu’ and Rubén Burgos’s will face Casademont Zaragoza on Saturday.

The host imposed his physique and woke Kutxabank Araski from sleep with a 17-6 lead in the first quarter. The Basques did not warm up or manage to recover ground in the rest of the game, dominated by a Zaragoza team that had outstanding performances from Markeisha Gatling (19 points, 9 rebounds and a PIR of 29) and Leonie Fiebich (17 points).
