Valencia Basket signs power forward Nate Sestina

MADRID, 18 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia Basket announced this Tuesday the signing of the American power forward Nate Sestina, who arrives from Fenerbahce, with whom he made his debut in the Euroleague last season, scoring 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, and who signs for the next two seasons, according to a statement.

The Valencian team, which will compete in the Eurocup next season, is reinforced until 2026, according to the ACB, with a 27-year-old, 2.04-meter-tall player, who plays the power forward position and stands out for his ability to space the field from the three-point line.

In his only Euroleague campaign with the Turkish team, he shot 35.7% on three-pointers, scoring 14 points against Baskonia and Partizan in his best games. His contribution in the Ottoman league grew to an average of 9.6 points and 5.1 rebounds, with outstanding performances such as 23 points against Buyukcekmece.

It will be his first experience in Spain after a career that began in the Nets team, and where he has spent time in Israel and Turkey in the last three seasons. He is the first signing of Pedro Martínez’s new project at the head of the Valencian team, and will share the power forward position with the only interior with a contract so far, the young Jaime Pradilla.
