The Women’s World Cup in Spain will have 1,150 volunteers

A total of 1,150 volunteers have registered to be part of the Women’s Handball World Championship, which will take place from December 1 to 19 in four Spanish venues, the final phase being in Granollers.

“A total of 1,150 people have registered to participate and experience the first Women’s Handball World Championship from within,” announced the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM).

Granollers, Torrevieja, Llíria and Castelló will be the four venues where the event will be held, the figure of volunteers being key in their work of support and backing to the Organizing Committee for the proper functioning of the competition.

Applications received between August 26 and November 14 include 515 volunteers assigned to Granollers, 269 to Torrevieja, 205 to Castelló and 161 to Llíria.

The average age of those registered is 30.8 years, with the age group of people born between 1990 and 1999 being the largest, with a total of 236 applications. The volunteer campaign has had a special impact on the female gender, with more than half of the applications submitted corresponding to women (602).

Volunteers will play a vital role during the competition, being a key element as a dynamic element in a historic event such as the 2021 Women’s Handball World Championship. All of them will actively participate in the different organizational tasks involved in a tournament of this magnitude. , being able to live a unique and unforgettable experience in first person.
