The program, which has had the collaboration of Movistar since its inception, was born in 2018 under the premise of creating the largest community of women on bikes in Spain.

Currently, Women In Bike is made up of more than 300 leaders throughout Spain, women who encourage others to ride a bicycle, accompanying them on their outings with the aim of growing a community that has already held more than 16,000 meetings.

The president of the RFEC, José Luis López Cerrón, highlighted the importance of a project that has already enabled hundreds of women to discover a new passion like cycling.

“We are very proud of each step we have taken to make women’s cycling visible and promote and on a day like today we can only thank all the women who have made Women In Bike the great community that it is right now”, Lopez Cerron said.
