The new Bernabéu will have the latest generation Wi-Fi

The new Bernabéu will be an avant-garde stadium in all its aspects. Also in technology. Real Madrid has signed a collaboration agreement with Cisco whereby the American company becomes the white club’s new sponsor and technology partner. With this alliance, Cisco will equip the stadium with a comprehensive deployment of its industry-leading technology, including connectivity, security, data center and digital signage solutions.

The Californian company will equip the Bernabéu, whose remodeling is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year 2022, with the largest wireless network in Europe based on the WiFi 6 standard. The venue will have more than 1,200 access points to offer fans connectivity with the highest speed, reliability and bandwidth to navigate with their devices.

The agreement with Cisco will affect the experience of the fans and the management of communications and security of the stadium. The network will feed, through an IPTV system, more than 1,000 screens that will allow the distribution of high-definition video and complete the signage of the stadium. They will also make it possible to increase visitor participation and generate new leisure offers at the stadium.

The signing of the agreement took place at Ciudad Real Madrid in Valdebebas during a ceremony attended by the club’s director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, and Wendy Mars, president of Cisco EMEAR.
