The message that Daniel Sancho sent to Arrieta’s family comes to light: “He says it so coldly”

Waiting for the trial date, Daniel Sancho remains in the Thai prison of Koh Samui for the alleged murder of the Colombian doctor Edwin Arrieta. This week his Spanish lawyer is scheduled to visit him, the media Marcos Garcías Montespossibly accompanied by his father, Rodolfo Sancho. Meanwhile, new information related to the case continues to come to light.

One of the last, the conversation that the alleged murderer would have had with Edwin’s family after his death. It must be remembered that Daniel himself went to the police station on the island of Koh Phangan to report the doctor’s alleged disappearance. It was then that the family also contacted him to ask about the doctor’s whereabouts. “After reporting the disappearance, they immediately called Daniel Sancho”, said journalist José Luis Tora in laSexta Xplica this weekend.

This was the 29-year-old chef’s response: “Daniel Sancho’s response was: ‘Edwin has never been with me on the island'”. Not only the content of the message was significant, but also the tone in which she communicated it to the family: “That’s what Daniel says so coldly to Edwin’s family, who are desperate to locate him”.

After Arrieta’s death and Daniel’s confession, we must remember that the protagonist of The Ministry of Time e Isabel He also contacted the family: “I have no words to express the pain I feel with this situation, I don’t even want to imagine what you are feeling. You don’t know how sorry I am, I am devastated (…) It is obvious that my son had some type of psychotic break or that he had some mental illness that had never surfaced. But, without a doubt, there is no excuse or forgiveness for what he has done.

Sancho Gracia’s grandson confessed to having murdered the Colombian doctor Edwin Arrieta in a hotel on the island of Koh Phangan on August 2. He could even face a possible death penalty. To avoid the maximum penalty, his defense will try to demonstrate before the Thai justice system that the murder was not premeditated. To this end, the Balfagón-Chippirrás office has worked on a report with which they intend to turn the case around.

On the one hand, they claim that the kitchen utensils he purchased were for culinary purposes due to his status as a chef and his passion for Asian cuisine. On the other hand, they maintain that the bags do not match the make and model of the establishment where Sancho acquired them to, according to the police, dispose of the dismembered body of the Colombian surgeon. They also cling to the doctor’s alleged harassment of him.
