The Malaga Academy suspends all its matches due to the coronavirus

The coronavirus, unfortunately, has hit the heart of the Malaga Academy. This week it was learned that one of the technicians of the subsidiary team, Atlético Malagueño, had contracted the damn disease, so the team has been quarantined. A measure that affects three of the players who are usually part of the first team calls, Ale Beníez, Gonzalo and Larrubia. In fact, the match that the Málaga subsidiary had to face with Antequera has been suspended.

But the matter goes further. The suspension of matches also affects all categories of Soccer-11 and Soccer-7, from the subsidiary to the junior, the matches corresponding to each league where the Málaga CF teams play are suspended. It includes Málaga women, who were supposed to play against Pozoalbense and Sporting de Huelva in their next two away games.

This is the official note sent by the club where it explains the situation. “In the case of Atlético Malagueño, they had to play their next match in the Third Division this Sunday at 12:00 hours against Antequera CF in the Malagueña Football Federation. The appearance of a case of COVID-19 in the team made the Club, following the protocol established by the RFEF regarding non-professional soccer competitions, request the suspension of its match against the Antequera team.

Likewise, there will be no competition in the female category for COVID-19. Both the first squad and the MCFF affiliate have detected a case of coronavirus, so their away games against Pozoalbense and Sporting de Huelva, respectively, are postponed, as is the match of the girls from Marina Gallardo competing in the 4th Andalusian Male Cadet ”.

A hard setback for the Málaga Academy and that, on the rebound, has affected the first team.
