The Italian Elisa Longo conquers the second edition of the women’s Paris-Roubaix

The Italian cyclist Elisa Longo (Trek Segafredo) won the second edition of the women’s Paris-Roubaix this Saturday by beating the Belgian Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx) and the Dutch Lucinda Brand, second and third, respectively, in a test disputed with final at the André Pétrieux velodrome.

Longo, third last year in the first edition and Olympic bronze in Tokyo 2020, took the legendary French test after attacking with 34 kilometers to go with a 23-second advantage over her pursuers, where the Swiss Elisse Chabbey was also ( Cañón) and his compatriot Marta Cavalli (FDJ Nouvelle), among others.

For her part, the Spanish Sandra Alonso completed a great performance with tenth place. The Ceratizit-WNT PRO Cycling Team cyclist finished the Paris-Roubaix 2 minutes and 22 seconds behind the winner this Saturday on the legendary Gallic cobblestones.
