The iconic Guild looks into the abyss of descent

Guild, three times champion of the Copa Libertadores, lost this Saturday by 1-3 in his visit to the america miner and it is getting closer and closer to falling to the Second Division of the Brazilian Championship.

With that defeat at the start of the thirty-second day of the league, Gremio, one of the most emblematic teams in Brazilian football, only surpasses Chapecoense in the standings, adds 29 points and begins to see the decline closer.

América Mineiro, for its part, with that victory temporarily assumed eighth position, with 44 points, and if it kept it until the end of the tournament, it would obtain a place for the next Copa Sudamericana.

Also this Saturday, Bragantino, the great revelation of this season, beat Fortaleza 3-0 and took fourth place, thus remaining in the qualifying zone for the next Copa Libertadores.

The Fortaleza led by Argentine Juan Pablo Vojvoda was in fifth position with 49 points and also aspires to a place in the Libertadores in 2022.

The Brazilian Championship has Atlético Mineiro as the only leader, with 68 points, ten more than Palmeiras and with eleven difference compared to Flamengo, who is in third place.
