The Ibiza JoySail of 2024 will be held from September 19 to 22

MADRID, 6 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ibiza JoySail Organizing Committee, formed by STP Shypyard Palma and Marina Ibiza, has announced that the next edition in 2024 of the superyacht regatta will be held from September 19 to 22, it reports in a statement.

2024 will be the fourth edition of the Ibiza JoySail, a regatta that has been growing exponentially since its creation in 2021, in which four boats participated, until this year’s 2023, in which thirteen have competed.

Since this year, the Ibiza JoySail has become an invitational regatta and the organization has decided to put a maximum number of boats registered so that the competition continues to have a point of exclusivity both at sea and on land.

In the recently completed third edition of the Ibiza JoySail, the special guest class has been the J Class, which has also served as the final test of the Kolher Cup with the triumph of Svea, which turned out to be the winner of both the regatta and as of the annual circuit.

In addition to the J Class, the other divisions have been Performance, with the triumph of the Swan 115, Moat, absolute winner of the three editions and holder of the record between Palma and Ibiza. In Performance Cruising the winner has been the Swan 80, Dark Horse, a pioneer together with the Moat participating in the three editions of Ibiza JoySail and in World Cruising the champion has been the Dystra 111, Aurelius.

On the other hand, the Corinthian category in the three modalities, Performance, Cruising and World Cruising, has been an important value to take into account in the Ibiza Joysail. This regatta tries to attract shipowners who are interested in competition, but do not want to modify their boat or have extra crew or equipment. In this category, the winners were the SW 105, Kiboko Tres, in Performance; the Y7 /0, Shambho, in Performance Cruising and Aurelius in World Cruising.

It is worth highlighting the participation for the first time of two Spanish superyachts such as the Kiboko Tres and the Custom 99, Alarife 100 in the reference end-of-season superyacht regatta in the Mediterranean.
