The eleven of day 1 of Diario AS in LaLiga SmartBank

The first LaLiga SmartBank matchday had eleven protagonists that we detail below. Embarba (Espanyol), Isi (Rayo Vallecano) and Tahiru (Fuenlabrada) were the most outstanding with their goals and the victories of their teams. On the other hand, Marc Mateu (Castellón) gave two assists.

Goalkeeper

Marc Martínez (Cartagena)

The Cartagena goalkeeper made his debut in the Second Division facing Oviedo at the Tartiere, a difficult ballot to start with. However, he kept a clean sheet with six saves. In the 8th minute, he already had to intervene to disrupt Arribas's shot at the exit of a corner. But if there is a stop to highlight, it was the one that took Obeng out in the second half, in a point-blank shot.

Defenses

Dídac Vilà (Espanyol)

Espanyol maintains the block of First in Second and there are some players who show that the silver category is too small for them. That is the case of Dídac Vilà. The side had an impeccable performance against Albacete, both in attack and defense. His rises to the area on the left wing were a constant in the game, with six centers to the area.

Mario Hernandez (Lightning)

The Rayo youth squad debuted with the first team in the field of the recently released Mallorca and was splendid on the right side. One of the facets in which he stood out the most was in the duels, emerging victorious in six of the eight in which he was involved. In addition, he intercepted a shot and pulled the dribble once.

Bruno Wilson (Tenerife)

The center-back arrived at Tenerife this summer from Sporting de Braga and already in the first game he won the title with an outstanding performance. During the match against Malaga he entered up to 25 duels. One of his strengths is the long ball. Against the Andalusians he launched 16, of which 12 ended in a player from the Canarian team.

Pablo Garcia (Sporting)

Sporting Shield / Flag

Another of those who made his debut in the category and with a note was Pablo García. The young Sporting winger made his debut with a great game against Logroñés. He played the 90 minutes and his work helped keep a clean sheet. He was perfect in the pass, with a 90% success rate, completing up to 84 touches throughout the match.

Midfielders

Isi (Rayo Vallecano)

The season could not have started better for Isi after his end of last season where many expectations placed on him were not justified. Iraola opted for the midfielder on his visit to Mallorca and the footballer responded as best he knew in the 90 minutes he was on the field, with good play between the lines, diagonals and a good goal arriving in the second row.

Marc Mateu (Castellón)

Soccer and in abundance is what Marc Mateu has in his boots and Castellón will surely get a good profit from it. Against Ponferradina, Mateu, stationed on the left wing, became the owner and lord of the game. In addition, he was in charge of assisting Juanto and Lapeña in the two goals of his team.

Embarba (Espanyol)

Embarba caught on to a match against Albacete according to his level. I mean, it was a great performance. The winger is called to be the beacon of the Catalan team, after his confirmation that he will continue in the club, in order to achieve promotion. On this first day he played the entire game, signed a percentage of passes with very high success and scored a goal.

Forwards

Djuka (Sporting)

The sportinguista fans expect a lot from Djuka and this year they can have confirmation that the Balkan forward has reached his best level. Against Logroñés, the striker did everything and almost everything right: two shots (one that ended in a goal and another in the wood), more than 70% of success in the passes and almost 100% of duels won. Sporting smiles with Djuka.

Juanto (Castellón)

Juanto Ortuño signed a not inconsiderable scoring figure last season in 2ªB and if this season he wants to repeat or exceed those records he is on the right track. Against Ponferradina he was a key piece in the attack point of Castellón. He forgave a clear chance, but the second, with a good break to the goalkeeper, the ball ended up inside the net.

Tahiru (Fuenlabrada)

Fuenlabrada Shield / Flag

Football sometimes writes its own Hollywood stories, and Tahiru's is one of them. The Ghanaian signed his first professional contract on Saturday and made his debut as a starter for Fuenlabrada on Sunday. He did it by setting a great game pulling on his power and physical display. In addition, he finished off his performance with a good goal.
