José Luis Gayà was happy with the result achieved by Spain, which with a draw against Sweden would allow him to be in the 2022 World Cup without going through the repechage.

“Georgia’s victory had given us an opportunity and we wanted to take advantage of it. We know we are worth a draw but we will go out to win against Sweden,” he said in La1 after the game.

“The second half has not been as we wanted. We knew about the difficulty. They are a great team (Greece). Maybe that fear of being tied has not made us not so fine. Now for the final that we have”, added.
