The CSD convenes the Dual Carrera Awards for the first time

MADRID, 10 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Higher Sports Council (CSD) has convened, for the first time, the CSD-Carrera Dual Awards in recognition of the double sporting and academic merit of young Spanish athletes, it reports in a statement.

This award replaces the hitherto called School-Age Athlete Award, extending the call to athletes who are studying university education, and not only to those who are in the age range of secondary education and high school.

In this way, the CSD-Carrera Dual Awards cover two areas, whose candidacies will be resolved independently: athletes of school age, born between 2004 and 2007 -both inclusive; and college-age athletes born before 1994.

Applications may only be submitted by the General Directorates of Sport of the Autonomous Communities and the Autonomous Cities of Ceuta and Melilla through the electronic registry of the CSD.

The application must include, in addition to the general data, information related to the training file and the sports curriculum in national and international competitions. The period will remain open until April 14.

Subsequently, it will be a specific evaluation commission that will analyze both the study certificates and the sports merits and, always backed by a technical report, raise the winning proposals.
