The Alavés leader seeks one more march in Granada

MADRID, 1 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Deportivo Alavés visits Granada this Friday on matchday 18 of LaLiga SmartBank with the intention of defending their cushion in the lead, under the watchful eye especially of UD Las Palmas and Burgos, who visit Sporting de Gijón and Ponferradina.

The Basque team continues to be the rival to beat, with only one defeat this season and a firm step with which they have added 34 points, to the 31 for the Canaries and Burgos. The applicants can start the weekend knowing if they have the option or not to approach.

On Friday at 9:30 p.m., Granada will try to become strong at Nuevo Los Cármenes to begin to pack up the arrival of Paco López almost a month ago. The Andalusian team begins the day with the objective of the promotion zone to two points.

For its part, Las Palmas is enjoying a good moment also after a small bump after scratching the draw in extremis against Levante and easily beating Tenerife in the derby. The quality of García Pimienta’s men comes to the fore and they will try to hold the line against a Sporting team that has gone six games without winning.

In addition, Burgos will close the day on Monday also at home with the indomitable spirit and its revealing role on the surface. The Castilian team cannot trust a ‘Ponfe’ stuck in the relegation zone but who has taken the measure in this regional derby.

On the other hand, Andorra and Cartagena will face each other in a direct duel in the ‘playoff’ zone, while Levante will defend their fourth place against Málaga second from bottom but who saw something of light last week with their victory over the Ponferradina.
