Süle breaks her silence

“I didn’t want to cause any discomfort.” In this way, Niklas Süle, still a Bayern Munich player, broke his silence after several weeks in which he had not appeared before the media or made any kind of statement once his departure to Borussia Dortmund was closed for the next season. The German defender, whose contract ended next June, decided not to extend his relationship with the Bavarian team and end a five-year stage in Munich. The borussers they turned the tables and managed to ‘steal’ a player, and as a free agent, from the most powerful team in the Bundesliga, and that is why Süle had not wanted to comment on the matter. Until this weekend, after drawing 1-1 against Bayer Leverkusen, with his own goal, the Germany international spoke into the microphones of Sky Sports Alemania.

First of all, Süle had a few words of thanks for the Bayern Munich fans following his departure, despite even the circumstances in which it has occurred: “I am grateful because it is not normal for me to play here either, I move to Dortmund and the spectators keep saying my name and do not whistle me”. And it is that, despite having already made his transfer to Borussia Dortmund official when the current campaign ends, the German center-back will continue to defend the Bavarian team’s shirt and fight for the goals of the Munich team until the last day of his contract. “I will give everything for this club until my last day here, hopefully with two more titles. I believe in it. I am grateful for how the people here are facing my decision”Sule said.

However, the German international did not want to go into more details about his departure, and acknowledged that “I have not deliberately spoken yet” because he is still “a Bayern player”. Like Oliver Kahn himself, CEO of Bayern Munich, he came out in defense of Süle when his departure was confirmed, acknowledging that “it is a professional attitude that Niklas is showing. He is giving everything here”, the 26-year-old defender evidenced having very clear priorities until the end of this course: “There are still two big titles to play for and I will give everything for Dortmund to finish second this season”. At the moment, after the draw against Bayer Leverkusen, the Bavarian team is still the undisputed leader of the Bundesliga, 9 points above the borussers.
