The Spanish athlete Paul McGrath won the silver medal this Saturday in the 20 kilometer walk at the European Championships being held in Rome, the second medal for Spain after the bronze that Marta García won on Friday in the 5,000.

The Catalan, European Under-23 champion last year, got on the podium with a time of 1:19:31, 18 seconds behind the gold of the Swede Perseus Karlström and ahead of the Italian Francesco Fortunato.
