The Spanish women’s basketball team will face Croatia, the Netherlands and Austria in Group A of the qualifying phase for Eurobasket 2025, which will be played in the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Italy, according to the draw. celebrated this Tuesday.
Spain, current runner-up, was in pot 1, which allowed it to avoid great powers such as France, Serbia or the current champion, the Belgian team. Both the Netherlands and Austria are a priori the lowest level teams in the group, while the Croatians are the most difficult opponent, although none of the three teams played in the last edition.
The first classified in each of the eight groups will qualify for the tournament, along with the four best runners-up in a qualifying phase that will start in its first ‘window’ between November 9 and 12 of this year. The second will take place between November 7 and 10, 2024 and the third and last between February 6 and 9, 2025.
