Good news for Shaq Moore and not so good for Tenerife: the Blue and White right-back has been included in the final list of the United States for the Gold Cup to be played this month.
The Georgia player had been cited on five other occasions, the last being in June 2018 in a friendly against Ireland. In this way, Moore will miss a large part of the preseason with Tenerife.
“We have had some contacts, but they tell me to keep working,” the footballer himself had said last April in an interview with As. “This year there are many games, there is the Gold Cup in summer and other games so you can aspire to be there, but I will continue what I have always done: work and if the opportunity comes, take advantage of it ”, he assured.
The final phase of the competition will be played in the United States between July 10 and August 2 and the North Americans, the main favorites, are in Group B.
Shaq Moore was the footballer on the Tenerife squad who played the most games last year: 42 (40 in the League and two in the Copa del Rey). The duel against Logroñés was only lost because it was sanctioned and those of Sestao River and Castellón, for the KO trophy by technical decision. In the others, he has always participated, adding 3,356 minutes.
