Rudy Fernández celebrates that his summer campus in Pollença is a “benchmark” in Spain

MADRID, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid international shooting guard Rudy Fernández has celebrated that his summer camp in Pollença, which is being held from this Saturday to July 16 with the participation of 200 children, has become a “reference” at a national level.

The campus aims to recover the essence lost during the last two years and to return smiles without a mask due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was stated in the official presentation in an act with Andrés Nevado, first deputy mayor of Pollença; Bianca Aguilar, Councilor for Sports and Equality; the owner of Mar Hotels Group, Juan Miguel Batle; Marta Fernández, director of the Campus; and Rudy Fernández himself.

On behalf of the City Council, Nevado stressed the importance of celebrating the campus in Pollença for another edition. “We have been collaborating for eleven years and it represents a touch of quality for the town. Thank you and we are very grateful,” he said.

Along the same lines, Bianca Aguilar has been “proud” of celebrating this event for another year in the municipality, both in terms of infrastructure, sports and tourism. “It’s been eleven years, only interrupted by the pandemic, always growing in relation to the quality of what is offered. It is a safe bet and the fact that it is held in Pollença makes us grow, we are a benchmark, and proof of them is that many of our players make it to the Islands team and the Spanish team,” he said.

For her part, Marta Fernández declared herself grateful for the welcome and for the return with all the guarantees. “We have become a benchmark Campus at the national level and we are very happy that year after year we continue to reap successes, based on great teamwork,” she said.

Finally, Rudy Fernández highlighted the dedication and work of all the sponsors that make the campus celebration possible and confirmed that he will be present every day of the event. “I think the children appreciate it and I appreciate it because on a human level the campus has proven to be a great family. The work of my sister, the monitors and my involvement, I think is valued through the trust of all the families who bring their children to our Campus. We are happy to be able to make a normal Campus, without masks, with still restrictions, but being aware that we are going to enjoy it to the fullest”, he assured.
