Roberto Mancini, new Saudi Arabia coach

Two weeks after resigning as head of Italy

MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Italian coach became the new coach of Saudi Arabia this Sunday, two weeks after resigning as Italy coach, with a contract until 2027.

“I made history in Europe and now it’s time to make history with Saudi Arabia,” says Mancini himself in the video with which he was presented by the Asian team.

The 58-year-old coach led Italy to the conquest of Euro 2020, in the Wembley final against hosts England, in a 37-game streak without losing.

Later, Mancini’s Italy was left out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The Italian also led Manchester City to its first Premier in 2012 and directed Fiorentina, Lazio, Inter Milan, Galatasaray and Zenit Saint Petersburg.
