BARCELONA, 24 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The MotoGP riders Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), world champion in 2021, and the Moto2 rider Tony Arbolino visited, within the framework of the Catalunya motorcycle Grand Prix held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the pediatric area of the Dexeus University Hospital.

The hospital center, belonging to the Quirónsalud Group, World Cup Medical Service for more than ten years, received with the visit of these pilots the donation of several ‘minibikes’ to make their hospital admission more bearable.

Also present on the visit of these three riders was the director of the Quirónsalud MotoGP Medical Team and head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Dexeus University Hospital, Ángel Charte, and Dr. Héctor Boix, territorial director of Pediatrics at the Quirónsalud hospitals in Barcelona.

Great expectations were generated by the hospital’s pediatric patients, who were grateful for both the donation and the encouragement of the pilots for their recovery. “We appreciate the initiative on the part of the MotoGP World Championship and the riders who wanted to come to the hospital, it is a gesture that humanizes them and makes them even greater as elite athletes,” said Dr. Charte.

Quirónsalud defends the importance of ensuring the health of the little ones with the greatest care and, therefore, has a pediatric project consolidated for several years that establishes that all its Pediatric services must be made up of specialists from all medical and surgical areas that this specialty includes.
