Rafa Cabrera-Bello will opt to defend the title at the ACCIONA Open de España

MADRID, 1 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish golfer Rafa Cabrera-Bello will be at the next ACCIONA Open de España presented by Madrid, which will take place between October 6 and 9, as current champion, the organization announced on Thursday.

The Canarian will opt to defend the title in the event belonging to the DP World Tour that will take place at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. Cabrera-Bello expands the great poster of the tournament, after the announcement of Jon Rahm, Justin Rose or Tommy Fleetwood.

The one from Las Palmas, who was second in 2019, triumphed last year by beating fellow Spaniard Adri Arnaus in a spectacular playoff. The Canarian golfer’s relationship with the Spanish Open dates back to 2002, when he was still an amateur and finished fourth.
