Pellegrini: “The result is absolutely unfair”

MADRID, 22 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The coach of Real Betis, Manuel Pellegrini, regretted an “absolutely unfair result” against Rangers, a defeat (1-0) in the Europa League premiere despite the fact that they had “control” and “chances” to not lose in Glasgow.

“A feeling of dissatisfaction with the result. It is an absolutely unfair result given what happened on the field. I am satisfied with the personality of the team, we went to look for the game and we had more scoring chances than them,” he said in statements to Movistar Plus collected by Europa Press.

The Chilean coach highlighted a good game by his team despite the fact that Rangers had moments in which they showed their danger. “We had a lot of control especially in the first half and in the second the goalkeeper made two or three saves and in a corner they unbalanced the game,” he stated.

“We played against Rangers at home, it’s not easy. They didn’t hurt us, they converted the corner. In the last 20 minutes Rodri had two dangerous shots and we had two other important chances,” he added.
