Párrizas comes back to the quarterfinals in Monastir

MADRID, 19 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Nuria Párrizas advanced this Thursday in the WTA 250 tournament in Monastir (Tunisia) by beating the Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska (4-6, 7-5, 6-2) in the round of 16.

The Andalusian, who is repeating last week’s quarter-final at the French event in Rouen, had her chances in the first set, but Zavatska had an answer to the rest to recover two breaks down and take the lead.

In the second set, Párrizas began to suffer with his serve, which he lost in the first game to trail. The Ukrainian managed to have match point for the rest but then lost serve at the beginning of the Spanish comeback.

Párrizas, once again demonstrating his ability to fight and suffer, turned the set around to force a third set in which he signed his victory with authority, the second in two games against Zavatska after last year in Valencia.
