Osasuna assaults the Pizjuán before the Cup

Those of Arrasate win (2-3) in a vibrant match against a Sevilla that returned to their old ways

MADRID, 26 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

CA Osasuna returned to the path of victory six games later with a brilliant victory (2-3) in their visit to Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán this Sunday, on matchday 23 of LaLiga Santander, which slows down the improvement of a Sevilla still pending of descent.

The ‘rojillo’ box was superior in the first half but forgave many good chances against Bono, the best of the locals in those 45 minutes. David García’s goal in the 18th minute was the only one that went up on the scoreboard but the whistle from his fans made Sevilla see that the game was being very poor.

At the restart, Aitor Fernández began his own recital in the visiting goal, with a double intervention from point blank range and on the goal line to En-Nesyri. The feeling of danger did not leave Osasuna with a great game from Aimar Oroz and Moncayola, but after a loss of the ball in midfield, Gudelj broke through to make it 1-1.

The Serbian’s classic kick enlivened the night, which would begin to bring endless surprises. Soon, Bono spoiled his performance with a bad start that failed to connect the ball, with the bad luck that he went inside after touching Fernando. However, Sampaoli sent his team up with the changes and En-Nesyri scored a great goal to make it 2-2.

In the heat of the battle, Sevilla was careless behind and conceded the 2-3 of Abde, Arrasate’s final artillery that he had kept on the bench like Chimy Ávila. Osasuna, with one eye on the Copa del Rey semifinal against Athletic Club on Wednesday, was able to take over Pizjuán and return problems to Nervión.
