One step away from the finals

The MIC has already entered its final phase, with the closing on Sunday and just around the corner for the big favorites of this tournament. This Saturday, all of them will play the ticket to the Palamós stadium, venue of the finals, although in some, the finals will be on Saturday afternoon. Here are the highlights of each category:

U-20: Seville-Athletic in quarters

Tomorrow morning Cassà de la Selva will have one of the main dishes of the day. At 09.30 in the morning, Seville and Athletic will face each other for a place in the afternoon semifinals. In them, watch out, the rival could be Villarreal, the other great favorite, who plays at the same time, but in Santa Coloma de Farners, against the BCN Sports Academy.

On the other side of the table, between Fornells-B1 Soccer Academy (10.30 am Cassà de la Selva and Julián Vásquez Fútbol Plaza-CF Lloret (10.30 am Santa Coloma de Farners), there will be someone to accompany them in an unprecedented final.

U-18: Heroic UE Quart

This Friday the UE Quart has lived one of its most historic days. On Saturday they will play the semi-finals against Richmond (10.0 Caldes de Malavella) after eliminating a whole Valencia team (0-2). Sydou Diarrassouba and Paretas Sánchez scored in the opening minutes and the Che were unable to react.

In the afternoon, at 7:30 p.m. and in Palamós, the final of this category will be played, in which Real Sociedad and Újbuda FC will also participate (11:00 a.m. Caldes de Malavella)

U-16: Probably Barça-Espanyol in the afternoon

In the Cadet category, in which Barça and Espanyol are launched, the disease is in a possible derby between the two in the afternoon (18.00 Fornells de la Selva).

Before that, however, they have to win in the quarters. A CP Sarrià awaits the Catalans, who has managed to sneak in after qualifying third (09:00 a.m. Sant Feliu de Guixols) and who will try to cause a surprise, while the Blue and Whites face off against Mercantil (10:00 a.m. Sant Feliu de Guixols), that happened on penalties against Racing Sarrià.

On the other side of the table will be the great match of the morning, which is between Valencia and Celta, the favorites on the other side of the table (12.00 h. Sant Feliu de Guixols), while the other quarterfinal match is between Cornellà and Esport Club Granollers (11.00 h Sant Feliu de Guixols).

U-14: Sabadell is loaded to Porto

Sabadell is another of the teams that has achieved a feat by the time their memoirs are written. They have reached the quarterfinals of the second-year Infantil category after knocking out none other than Porto in the penalty shootout after drawing 2-2. Sagna Mouhameth was the author of the winning goal in the shootout. Now, they will play against Vic Riuprimer to get into the semis (11:00 a.m. Pals)

As for the rest, the big favorites move on. Espanyol faces off against Mercantil (10:00 a.m. Palafrugell), Atlético faces Castelldefels (10:00 a.m. Pals) and Barça against Manresa (11:00 a.m. Palafrugell).

U-13: Valencia and Athletic, face to face

In the category of First Year Children, there will be an early final. Valencia and Athletic, the two great favourites, have been paired in the semifinals on Saturday morning in Llança (09:30 am) after having been leaders in their subgroups. The other place in the final, which is played in Figueres at 5:15 p.m., will be played by UE Quart against Olympique de Marseille, seeking to make history (10:30 a.m. Llança)

U-12 A: Derby for semis and… mini Clásico in the final?

In the category of Alevín Football 11 mode there is what is, on paper, the most attractive match of the entire morning of the MIC. Real Madrid and Atlético will play a mini derby in the semifinals in Torroella de Montgrí (10:00 am) after a practically perfect MIC. The ‘rojiblancos’ are especially motivated, as they have decisively left out Cristiano Ronaldo’s son’s Manchester United.

For the final, which takes place on Sunday in Palamós, there could even be a mini classic if the Whites win and also Barça, who play against one of the surprises of the tournament, the Total Fútbol Academy of the United States.

U12-B: Sevilla, Barça’s last hurdle

In the category of Alevín Fútbol 7, Barça is one step away from the final, but before that they have a difficult rival. It is Sevilla, who left behind a whole Paris Saint Germain and will surely be a difficult rival on Saturday morning in Palamós (10.00).

The curious thing about the case is that there could also be a mini derby in Sunday’s final if the azulgranas win and so does Espanyol, who seem to be the clear favorite against Tuttifutbol Academy (09:00).
