Norway enters the EURO strong with a win over Northern Ireland

MADRID, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Norwegian national team thrashed (4-1) the Northern Ireland team this Thursday in Group A of the European Championship in England, from which Spain’s rival would come out in the quarterfinals, if Jorge Vilda’s team manages one of the two Group B places from their debut this Friday against Finland.

The Nordic team, who had already thrashed (6-0) their rival in the qualifying phase, had no mercy on a Northern Ireland team that was playing its first game in a European Championship in Southampton.

Blakstad, Maanum and Hansen made it 3-0 at half-time to put Norway on the list of teams to watch at the English EURO. Nelson cut back for the Northern Irish but Reiten completed the comfortable win to give Norway three points, level with England.
