Nikola Mirotic, with discomfort in the Achilles tendon, begins treatment

BARCELONA, July 22. (EUROPEAN PRESS) –

Barça’s Spanish-Montenegrin player Nikola Mirotic suffers from discomfort in the Achilles tendon in his left foot, for which he is undergoing recovery treatment, the Catalan entity reported in a statement on Friday.

The power forward has been under the control of the Barça team’s medical services since the end of the 2021/22 academic year and the treatment that the player is undergoing, due to his discomfort, will be extended in the coming weeks, although the club has not offered a approximate estimate of the time of discharge.

Last season, Mirotic finished with physical discomfort and now he will be away from the tracks on his return to training, so his evolution remains to be seen.

The former Milwaukee Bucks player was a fundamental piece in Sarunas Jasikevicius’ scheme, guiding his team in the regular phase of the Euroleague and La Liga Endesa. However, at the crucial moment of the season, the ‘culés’ were shipwrecked in the ‘Final Four’ of the continental competition and in the League final against Real Madrid, who beat their rival in both matches.

Now, Barça already has several high-level signings, such as Satoransky, Vesely, Da Silva and Kalinic, with whom it promises to boost performance. However, the Catalan team will have to face the inconvenience of Mirotic at the start of the season.
