Nicholas Latifi will not continue at Williams in 2023

Williams Racing has confirmed this Friday that the Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi will not continue with the British team for the 2023 season, so he will fulfill the current contract that ends at the end of this Formula 1 season.

Latifi made his top-flight debut for Williams Racing at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and has so far driven 55 races, collecting 7 championship points, including his scoring debut at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix .

Now, once his departure is confirmed, Williams Racing will soon announce the full driver line-up for 2023, where a companion for Alex Albon will be sought.

“My debut in Formula 1 was postponed due to the pandemic, but we finally got going in Austria and, although we haven’t achieved the results we hoped for together, it’s been a fantastic journey. Getting those first points in Hungary last year was a moment I will never forget,” explained Nicholas Latifi.
