New recognition for Joaquín Caparrós

Joaquin Caparrós He is currently far from Spanish football, but that does not mean that he stops accumulating successes and recognitions. The last one was made public this Friday, when the 65-year-old Utrera coach was chosen as ‘Coach of the year 2020’ in Armenia, country of which he is currently his selector.

Caparrós obtained a total of 134 votes, surpassing with them to Vardan Bichakhchyan, Ararat Yerevan coach, who stayed at 50, and Rafael Nazaryan, responsible for the U-21, who reached 48. “Thank you very much for this recognition. I want to congratulate my entire coaching staff. Without them nothing would be possible ”, wrote Caparrós himself on Twitter thanking the award.

This 2020 has undoubtedly been a successful year for both Caparrós and Armenia, since despite the fact that said team did not qualify for the Eurocup, they did achieved promotion from League C to League B in the UEFA Nations League.
