More than 14.2 million viewers followed the 2022 Tour on RTVE

La 1 registers an average audience of more than 1.1 million viewers and 11.6%, the best share since 2019

The 2022 Tour de France, which concluded this Sunday with the victory of the Dane Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma), has gathered a total of 14,204,000 viewers on La 1 and Teledeporte, and achieved an average of 1,143 on La 1. 000 viewers and an 11.6% audience share, its best record for three years, reports RTVE.

Of the 22 hours broadcast on this channel, the most watched stage was that of July 14, between Briançon and Alpe D’Huez’, with 1,619,000 viewers and a 16.4% share.

The audience on Teledeporte in the 21 stages reached a 2.9% share and 267,000 viewers. It is the best figure since 2020, whose average was 3.4%. The Lourdes-Autacam stage on July 21 is the one that has obtained the best results: 542,000 spectators and a 5.3% share.

A total of 1.18 million unique visitors have visited some of the contents of the Tour during this July on RTVE.es. This represents a growth of 15% compared to the consumption of the 2021 Tour.
Of that figure, more than 811,000 have connected with one of the live signals offered on RTVE Play, 2% more than in the previous edition.


Stage 14, which started from Saint-Etienne, became the most watched live on RTVE Play with 178,400 spectators. In this edition there was a growth in the consumption of video on demand, which was seen by more than 430,000 unique visitors, the highest consumption of VOD of the Tour to date, which is 178% more than in 2021 and also widely doubles the 2020 data.

156,000 visitors followed the news about the Tour in this edition, also improving the data of the two previous editions.
