Mihajlovic renews with Bologna until 2023

The Balkan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic (51 years old), who is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia, renewed his contract with the Bologna until 2023, club that occupies the tenth place in the classification table of the A series, in the absence of a few days for the return of the Italian championship.

The entity of Bologna extended a year (until June 2023) the contract of its current preparer, which took over the team in January 2019, and since then the team has not stopped growing and improving its results.

“Bologna FC 1909 announces that it has reached an agreement with Sinisa Mihajlovic for an extension of his contract until June 30, 2023,” the club announced in a press release. Mihajlovic, 51, suffers from leukemia diagnosed last summer and underwent a bone marrow transplant bone last November, which made him miss several games this season.

“I feel good and strong,” said the coach. “Almost seven months ago I received a bone marrow transplant. The worst should have happened. ”

The former Yugoslav international, who also coached other clubs in Italy such as Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, AC Milan and Torino, succeeded Filippo Inzaghi, former coach of Bologna.
