MADRID, 10 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Mallorca and Almería announced this Thursday two moves between the two clubs, the signing of Samu Costa from the Balearic Islands, from the Andalusian team, and the transfer with a purchase option of the Mallorcan team to Iddrisu Baba from Almería.

“RCD Mallorca and UD Almería have reached an agreement for the transfer of Samu Costa. The 22-year-old Portuguese has committed to the Mallorcan club until June 30, 2028”, says the Balearic team in an official statement .

Samu, years old, arrived at Almería in the 2020-2021 campaign on loan from SC Braga, from Portugal, and at the end of the season a purchase option was exercised by the footballer.

“I am very happy. It is a great club. I feel very proud because I am here for my work. I want to help the club to achieve everything I can,” says Samu in statements that the vermilion statement collects on his official website.

At the same time, the Andalusian team celebrated the armoring of its midfield with an “experienced, dynamic and strong defensive pivot”. “Almería has made a new signing for the imminent 2023-2024 season; it is Baba, a defensive pivot who comes from RCD Mallorca and arrives on loan although with a purchase option,” says the Almería statement.

The Ghanaian footballer arrived at RCD Mallorca in the 2016-2017 season, playing his first games with the Mallorcan subsidiary. It was in the 2018-2019 season when he made his debut with the first team and in these last five seasons, the midfielder has achieved two promotions to the First Division and has played a total of 149 games in all competitions.
