Real Madrid negotiates with the Federation (RFEF) a postponement of its next Copa del Rey tie before the transfer to their respective selections of Casemiro, Eder Militao, Vinicius Júnior, Rodrygo Goes and Fede Valverde for the South American qualifiers, scheduled for February 2, the same date as the quarterfinals of the ko tournament
Madrid awaits the response from the RFEF today, and if it is negative will try to negotiate with the Brazilian Confederation (CBF) to release Casemiro, Militao, Vinicius and Rodrygo for the second of their matches in the South American league, since Brazil is already qualified for the World Cup. Uruguay, however, will play in the next two games to be in the World Cup, so Valverde’s release seems impossible.
The quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey will be drawn this Friday in Las Rozas. Once the draw takes place, the RFEF will decide if it attends the request of Real Madrid. The circumstance occurs that, except in Spain, in the rest of the major European leagues the South American qualifying phase for the World Cup was taken into account, so the problem that arises now with the Copa del Rey does not occur in the rest of the first row European championships.
