Longines, official timekeeper of CSIO Barcelona

MADRID, 2 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ‘premium’ watch brand Longines has been the timekeeper, sponsor and official watch of the 111th edition of the International Obstacle Jumping Competition (CSIO) in Barcelona, the oldest international sporting event in Spain and which took place from September 28 to October 1 at the Real Club de Polo.

The brand with the winged hourglass has witnessed the most important team jumping competition in the world, the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup, which hosted the participation of the most prominent horsewomen and riders on the international equestrian scene.

Longines’ connection with equestrian sports dates back to the brand’s first years, in the 19th century. In 1869 Longines created its first watch with equestrian motifs. Some time later he launched his first chronograph movement, encased in a case decorated with a horse and rider.

Since then it has been evolving and surpassing the limits of precision in sports timing. Longines is currently associated with show jumping, eventing and dressage.

On this special occasion, the event held in Barcelona has had as official watch the Longines Dolcevita X YVY, known for its rectangular shape and its leather bangle made by the Swiss creator Yvonne Reichmuth.

Its design, which is so reminiscent of the equestrian world, refers to bridles and horse harnesses through its bracelet available in three different colors: double beige leather, brown and peppered with rivets in the case of black.
