the world of Barça de Tarragona supporters clubs is in mourning, after giving the last goodbye this Tuesday to Francesc Serra, died at the age of 69, victim of a heart attack. Serra was president of the Penya Casal Barcelonista de Tarragonabased in Calle Reial de Tarragona and formerly in Plaça dels Carros, and responsible for the Barça Nord Supporters Clubs Federation of Barça.
The funeral was held in the Pla de Santa Maria parish, his wife’s native town, with a large presence of relatives, friends and supporters from all over the demarcation. In a very emotional ceremony, which ended with all those present singing the Barça anthem, she said goodbye with a Barça and Catalunya shirt on the coffin. Josep Maria Nogués represented the Barça club, which also sent a flower crown.
Francesc Serra was the alma mater of les Penyes in the entire Tarragona region and, in addition to organizing a trip to all the games of the season at the Camp Nou, with one or several buses, through the Penya Casal Barcelonista de Tarragona, had also organized several trips to finals such as the Copa del Rey.
