LaLiga has issued a statement requesting the RFEF Competition Committee to suspend the match between Alcorcón-Ponferradina. The game has to be held this Sunday at 12 o'clock but there are four positives for COVID-19 in members of the Alcorcón squad and staff.
“Tonight LaLiga has requested the RFEF Competition Committee to suspend the LaLiga SmartBank match that was to be played between AD Alcorcón and SD Ponferradina tomorrow at 12 noon. The reason is the knowledge of 4 positives for COVID -staff members and players-in AD Alcorcón in the last 48 hours. Given this fact, LaLiga has requested the suspension of the match “, reads the statement published by LaLiga.
Now the Committee will have to assess LaLiga's request and decide whether the match on matchday 6 should change the date, due to the positive tests of four members of the Alcorcón in the last 48 hours.
