The Slovenian shooting guard Klemen Prepelic will not continue at Valencia Basket after the club decided not to renew his contract, the entity ‘taronja’ confirmed this Saturday.
“Valencia Basket has decided not to renew Klemen Prepelic’s contract, so the Slovenian international guard ends his time at Valencia Basket after three seasons as ‘taronja’,” the club said. “The club wants to thank the professionalism, dedication and work carried out by Klemen Prepelic during the time that he has defended the ‘taronja’ shirt and wishes him the best in his future, both professionally and personally,” he continued.
Prepelic arrived in Valencia in the summer of 2020 from Joventut Badalona. In total, he has played 158 games as a ‘taronja’ player with an average of 10.6 points with 33.2% on three-pointers, 1.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and a PIR of 9.4.
In his first season, in which he missed just four games due to injury, he averaged 11.7 points on 51.5% from 3-pointers and a PIR of 10.9. The second ended early due to a serious injury to his left arm, and in the third he has participated in 52 games with averages of 6.7 points with 25.2% on three-pointers, 0.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists. for 6.4 valuation.
