Forward Joselu Mato is part of the Real Mdrid expedition that travels to Vitoria to face Deportivo Alavés this Thursday (9:30 p.m.) in Mendizorroza, after the striker did not complete the training session prior to the duel on matchday 18 of LaLiga EA Sports 2023-2024.
The Galician was unable to exercise with his teammates in Valdebebas this Wednesday due to a fever that, for the moment, will not prevent him from being in Mendizorroza. Joselu's was the ninth loss for Carlo Ancelotti in training, after those already confirmed by Ferland Mendy, due to a recent muscle injury; Vinícius Júnior, Arda Güler, Dani Carvajal, Thibaut Courtois, Éder Militao, Eduardo Camavingo and David Alaba.
This circumstance forced the Italian coach to draw from the youth team for the session. And in fact he completed the list with five players from 'La Fábrica': goalkeeper Fran González, defenders Vinícius Tobias and Raúl Asencio, midfielder Nico Paz and forward Gonzalo García.
Thus, the list is made up of goalkeepers Lunin, Kepa and Fran González; the defenders Nacho, Lucas Vázquez, Fran García, Rüdiger, Vinícius Tobias and Raúl Asencio; the midfielders Bellingham, Kroos, Modric, Valverde, Tchouameni, Ceballos and Nico Paz; and the forwards Rodrygo, Joselu, Brahim and Gonzalo García.
