Jordi Cruz has dared to participate in the extreme program presented by Jesus Calleja, Planet Calleja, and has taken the opportunity to talk about very personal sentimental issues. The chef has confessed to the adventurer that although he got along well with his father, they did not have a close relationship and that he did not verbalize his affection until it was almost late: “I told him ‘I love you’ two hours before die”.
The cook has been the guest at the start of the ninth season of the Calleja program. The presenter has recognized the judge of Master Chef that he did not know him well before this professional meeting and that he even “liked him” when he saw him on the small screen.

Calleja has changed this opinion during the recording of the program when he got to know Cruz more closely. It was during these most intimate conversations when the chef confessed that he did not have an excessively fluid relationship with his father, and that although this had marked his childhood, emotionally he understood his father: “I always understood his negativities and his bad things , he grew up in a factory, he lived through a war… he was an affectionate person but with little facility to show his emotions”.
As published Lectures, Jordi was not able to verbalize his feelings towards his father until he was about to die. “I told him ‘I love you’ two hours before he died, what a silly thing, but I thought I didn’t want him to leave without telling him.” These feelings have had to be analyzed by him years after him: “I have it quite well managed, I have put the bad in a box so that it is energy,” he said on the program.
And it is that emotional and stress management is one of the problems that Jordi faces, as he acknowledged during the recordings: “I have been working on stress for a couple of years because I was hunchbacked, I was on medication and I don’t have it well, A couple of years ago I had chest pain and I thought it was something coronary, but it was an anxiety attack,” he confessed.
Calleja also got the cook to recognize that he wants to be a father and start a family with his girlfriend, among the adventurous activities. Rebecca Lima, with whom he has lived for four years. The Brazilian has told her that they must wait to meet all the traditional requirements that are still very much taken into account in her country: proposal to the father, ring, wedding and then baby, so they still have time to be parents.

Both Cruz and Calleja have enjoyed during the production of the program in Greece and in addition to climbing, rappelling and jumping into the sea from a rock, they have ridden a horse on the way to the Aegean Sea and have entertained themselves, of course, with culinary issues. The chef has been very interested in discovering and learning more about the gastronomy of the places where the television program has been filmed.
