Joseba del Carmen was an explosives bomber for the Basque Autonomous Police, but decided to change the course of his life. From the Ertzaintza, in one of the most stressful tasks, to advise athletes. Del Carmen knew, for example to Rahm, at the Club Larrabea de Legutiano. Barrika's is from Biscay, but is affiliated with the golf club where he has always trained. He promised his family that he would first pursue his studies and then become a golf professional. He now lives in Arizona, but one of his mentors from that time is Del Carmen.
Joseba already collaborated with Abelardo Fernández in his first stage as Alavés coach, but then he left the club. When the Asturian returned to the Vitoria state, he was interested in his situation. He is currently part of the Pitu work team and is present in all training sessions. Also in the games that are played in Mendizorroza, what he does not do is travel outside the capital of Alava.
Del Carmen also advises other athletes and works as a 'coach'. Your job is to help people with low self-esteem to motivate them and, for those who have no problems in that sense, direct them to group work for the common good.
