Jon Kortajarena calls Alonso Caparrós after the addiction controversy: “Rectifying is wise”

Alonso Caparros “heated up” this Thursday when it exploded against of Jon Kortaja for the controversial statements of the actor in The resistancein which he alluded to the addiction problem that the presenter and collaborator of Save me.

Kortajarena, who plays a drug-addicted presenter in the new Movistar series, The inmortalrevealed to David Broncano that he had been inspired by a real presenter from the 90s for his character. He did not want to reveal the name but he did write the initials on a piece of paper: AC Caparrós took the hint and broke out this Thursday.

“If the initials are really AC and he has been inspired by me, I have nothing to object to, that was my reality at that time (…) Why does this guy seem like a category imbecile to me? Because people who have that problem is a disease, alluding to that by saying that ‘he got into a lot of farlopa’ seems to me to be disrespectful to all those people who suffer from these problems,” he snapped.




This Friday, the presenter has entered his program by video call to reveal that Jon has contacted him and they have had a talk on the phone. “I have to take my hat off. Correcting when someone makes a mistake is wise. I also have to apologize for calling him an idiot,” he said.

In this sense, he has given more details about the conversation they had: “He told me: ‘I’m sorry if I’ve offended you, if it’s bothered you’. I told him not to worry, but I told him it bothered me. Today I’m someone else. He was disgusted by how it had been treated on the show he was on.”

Caparrós appreciates the call from the model and actor: “He told me that he would like to solve it in private with me. I want to send him a big hug. I think he is an example of what should happen, knowing how to rectify and realizing it.” And he has added an important message about the problem of addictions: “Yesterday I got a little hot, but the grain of sand that I can contribute is to tell about it. It is a difficult problem to solve”.
